Make your Dashboard more Visually Explicit
It’s that time of year again – when you have a lead up to an event or festival like Christmas or Easter. You want to compare your sales performance (or manufacturing, production or any other KPIs) against the same period last year.
Why not spice it up by creating a visually explicit dashboard that you could display on a large screen in the telesales office, or the warehouse floor or the boardroom? Something that will tell you at a glance how you’re doing day by day.
I chose the Christmas theme in order to develop a methodology – but this could be applied or adapted to any theme and repeated again and again.
Here’s the end result – which is how it displays on a browser if you add “&embed=true” to the Diveport url and press F11 to go full screen. This Region is doing quite well as you can see at a glance – mostly green baubles which mean an increase on performance for the same month last year.
The usual view would be as below – and I’ve changed the quickview to another Region that’s not doing so well – 3 red baubles!!
