No Need to Purchase Hardware
SaaS (Software as a Service) or PaaS (Platform as a Service) deployments eliminate the need to purchase servers and networking bandwidth, addtionally offering the convenience of a monthly or annual subscription. This is very effective for corporate budgeting and allows you to extend the benefits to a larger audience.
Empower More Business Users with BI Licenses
Adding additional users is also far easier with SaaS, as we can suit your needs with additional hardware capacity to make scale-ups seamless for growing companies.
We Take Care of Upgrades and Software
You won’t need to manage the cloud infrastructure and platform where the application runs. This eliminates the need to install and run the software on your own computers – you simply browse the cloud to your own safe environment.
We also handle application and operating system software upgrades, rather than placing this burden on your IT department. This ensures that you automatically benefit from the latest security updates and coolest new features like the latest Diver Platform with its interface Diver Gateway. This offers Dashboards, reporting and Deep Analysis for all users.
Security, Backups and Hardware Maintenance
DBI’s hosted services are housed in an ultra-secure data centre, an ISO 27001 certified company with many years’ experience of both hosting and connectivity solutions. This ensures high application availability monitored by a dedicated team of experts without the security issues inherent in many cloud implementations. Diver BI Group also handles backups and hardware maintenance and support responsibilities, and offers near perfect uptime.
See section “Safe & Secure Data Access” below for more details on user security.
Pricing
Set-up and scale-ups
Set up fees are minimal as we have a variety of applications designed to interface with most data extracts. We do not charge for the trial set-up. If you are happy with the initial trial then we will usually be able to automate the process and set up users within a couple of days – this is the set-up phase.
If you wish to add further users on an ongoing basis then we cover this under the license subscription for each new user.
Licensing – Pay as you Go
User licensing is on a subscription basis from around £100 per user per month, depending on the size of the data set. This means that you can have many users licensed within days without having to purchase any hardware or make an investment in perpetual Diver Solution Licenses.
You can pay monthly, quarterly or annually. We ask that you commit to at least 3 users for 3 months.
Support
Our SaaS and PaaS application customers enjoy the support of a team of Diver Experts who are available by phone and email during UK & Ireland office hours. Web sessions can also be used to share screens if clients have queries on any of the report pages.
Safe & Secure Data Access
Diver provides enhanced security features and encryption for information that is shared between the client/server module and the client software as well as between the web application clients and end-user browsers and mobile devices. Diver’s security provides safe and secure data access to users wherever they may be. There are five components to Diver’s security structure:
User Authentication
Users can be authenticated via one of four methods, including Dimensional Insight’s proprietary configuration protocol, CGI mode, simple bind against LDAP directory server, and System i authentication.
Access Control
Only users who have been authenticated can view data within Diver Models. Customized, role-based data access control can be defined by Model, Dimension, Summary, Access Control List, and user groups. DiveLine enables column-, row-, and cell-level security. Additionally, access control can be set within the DivePort web portal. This controls viewing of web pages and associated content.
Password Management and Control
All levels of users can change their password and administrators have a broad range of options to set password length, expiration, and logon attempts. Diver supports single sign-on authentication and is designed to interface seamlessly with third-party websites and web platforms.
Encryption Capabilities
Diver components use ARCFOUR at 128 bits to encrypt all traffic between the server and the clients. Diffie-Hellman encryption (up to 512 bits) is used for key agreement between the clients and the server. Standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol is used to encrypt data between the web applications and client browsers.
Logging
DiveLine maintains extensive logs that capture all modifications
to user profiles; usage information by user, session, and file; failed login events, and detailed display of data by field and user.
SaaS Diver Deployments
Dimensional Insight was one of the first BI vendors to realise the potential of delivering reporting and analytics using a SaaS platform. Browser-based access to the full functionality of Diver including Diver Gateway is available through Dimensional Insight’s hosted, subscription-based, analytics and reporting service.
