It’s now a week since the Diver Conference took place– our first ever collaborative European online event. It was not quite the same as meeting up with you in person, but the ability to choose from a lot more content plus the interaction with users and consultants from all over Europe, well, kind of made up for it! We loved the introductions by Lieven, Lieneke, Michel and Kathy, who all did a splendid job of keeping things running smoothly.
We hope you managed to attend and that you found your way around the 3 tracks of presentations that followed the information-packed keynote from DI founders Fred Powers & Stan Zanarotti, supported by their Technical Director wizards Jamie Clarke and Mike Phillips. We were very excited to hear about “Springboard” and “Gateway” – two new elements of the Diver Product portfolio – plus all the other new features coming down the line.
There was so much going on that it was impossible to participate in everything on the day itself, so we have left the conference platform open until mid-July and available for you to revisit recordings of the ones you want to see again or those you missed. For the technical sessions it’s great to be able to pause them and take notes or screen clips for future reference.
Apart from these main tracks there were some valuable insights delivered through the interactive sessions on Upgrade Options, Version Management, Performance Optimisation, as well as the excellent DivePort Design workshops that took place on Friday 11th. These are also available to view on the conference platform.
John Spillane gave an excellent presentation on how to reduce your page opening times in DivePort – so much became clear with his unique way of making complex ideas more understandable.
Wouter Koop certainly had his work cut out but managed to transform an ugly dashboard into a modern, clean-looking version in about 40 minutes using DIUX. He demonstrated also how you can access the resource library online at DIUX Resources – a great addition to the website where you self-serve icons, html code and images as well as the skin and ccs file.
If you missed these interactive sessions and want to know more, please get in touch with your local Diver Consultant who can put you in touch with the people who delivered them – they will be able to answer any questions you might have.
It was also inspiring to see customer stories and learn how Diver had been useful in so many different ways – from Youth Health to Covid outcomes, from DSV’s Diver Control Tower to Corrib Oil’s driver commissions application. And we can’t forget the Teddy Bear Metrics! Who would dare use them again after Shaun Foaden’s enlightening explanation!
Thanks again to everyone who contributed to make this the successful event it was, and to everyone who made time to attend.
If you would like to ask a question or give feedback on the conference please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
