Kathy Sucich reports on her participation as moderator for a Women of the Vine & Spirits regional event which brought women from across the wine and spirits industry together on October 22 at Opici Family Distributing in Glen Rock, New Jersey.
With one in three women reportedly shying away from jobs that list “using numbers or data” as a requirement, (and with one in five men also in that category), the discussion explored how to use data as empowerment: bringing clarity to decision-making and delivering confidence in the boardroom.
Most of the shared experiences are a great incentive for anyone who is struggling with the concept of working with data to reframe their reluctance into opportunities for growth and developing better business acumen.
